I am a nature-lover by heart, and find great wonder in little squirmy things, as well as larger life forms. My heightened fascination with aquatic creatures is manifested in many levels in the individual styles of my drawings.

In the illustrations of aquatic insect larvae, I am mostly guided by the natural forms and patterns. Only the colors are modified and enhanced. The drawings are a taxonomically accurate rendition of larvae insect species I study in local streams.

The intricate beauty and detailed patterns of certain kinds of fish, aquatic insects, algae, mushrooms, etc. as seen through my eyes are intensified in the illustration created. My fantasy pictures are a complex mix of organisms both secretly scattered and prominently portrayed throughout the drawing, much the way I see them in the natural world.
